From Powell River BC’s Townsite Brewing comes the “Charleston Belgian Triple” which is no surprise as the brewmaster came from Belgium. The beer smells of yeast and apples. The flavor of the beer is quite similar with yeast, apples and bitter hops with a slight alcohol bite. The beer comes in at 8.5% alcohol and an IBU of 35. This beer is a very good example of Belgian Tripel beer even if it is brewed all the way at the end of the sunshine coast! It may be hard to find on the coast here but if you can catch a bottle pick it up!
